Doll Hospital – 1960

ITV Cymru / Wales - Posted 14-04-2016

A segment from the magazine programme ‘Here Today’ in 1960. This is one of the creepiest films in the collection, and an alleged inspiration for the famous scene in the Toy Story film!
Please don’t have nightmares!
(There is no audio on this clip)

Darn o’r rhaglen gylchgrawn ‘Here Today’ yn 1960. Un o’r ffilmiau mwyaf arswydus yn y casgliad, ac yn ôl rhai, yr ysbrydoliaeth i’r olygfa enwog yn y ffilm Toy Story! Peidiwch a chael hunllefau!

ITV Cymru / Wales - Posted 10-03-2016

K-nockers. 1971

Another clip from the HTV West collection and this time it’s K-nockers or Clackers as they were called in Wales. The craze swept the schoolyards in the early seventies. Perceived as dangerous many schools banned children taking the toy into school; the toy remains on the banned list of toys to this day.

What Do You Want For Christmas, 1971.

ITV Cymru / Wales - Posted 04-12-2015

What Do You Want For Christmas, 1971.

It’s that time of year again when young and old ask each other ‘what do
you want for Christmas?’. The children in this clip are asked this and
their requests are somewhat modest
